Vanilla Ice Cream

4 C half-and-half
1 1/2 C sugar
1 TBS vanilla
2 C whipping cream

In a large bowl combine half-and-half, sugar and vanilla. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Stir in whipping cream. Freeze in 4-5 qt freezer, following maker's directions.
Ripen 4 hours (see post).
